The fall show was dedicated to expressing the feelings of holding in emotion and the consequential development of anxiety. This led to a painting and a sculpture that worked to show both the internal feelings of drowning and the external feelings of presenting as warm and fuzzy.
The painting was done in acrylic and the sculpture was made out of around 400 flowers hand sewn into a replica of my own body.

Winter project was an experimentation of meshing sewing, motors and projections into a painting. The goal was to see if I could seamlessly make a mixed media piece that functioned well to then incorporate into the final thesis BFA project. Thus, I painted portraits of family members and sewed a heart that I then engineered a motor into to beat. Then I projected the anatomical features of that heart on top of the sewn heart.
